Calum Thomson and a team from Loxley Colour have joined forces with two other trade companies in the industry and will collectively take on the Ben Nevis Charity Challenge in support of the Marie Curie charity.
The aim? Raise £6,500 (or more!) and help towards paying for a day of care at a Marie Curie centre.
Why? Having personally experienced the incredible work that the staff at Marie Curie do, Calum felt compelled to do something in return. On discussing it with friends and colleagues he quickly learned that more often than not, the work of these doctors, carers, nurses and volunteers has, in some way touched most of us. So when it came to signing up to the Ben Nevis Challenge, he found himself with quite the team.
The aim is to raise enough to help ‘Pay for a Day’ at a Marie Curie centre. Currently, it costs over £60, 000 per day to run all nine centres across the UK. By raising just 10% of this sum, we can help the charity continue delivering the vital services that are needed by so many suffering from terminal illnesses, their families and friends.
From all corners of the UK and Ireland, the team will come together on 18th September and work together to reach the summit of the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The team consists of members from Loxley Colour, Fujifilm and 3XM.
So, you may be asking – what’s this got to do with us?
Well – quite simply, they can’t do it all alone.
Raising £6,500 is an ambitious target. But we’re confident that with the support of our industry colleagues, our customers and our business partners we can achieve it!
We’d be forever grateful and immensely humbled if you could dig deep to support their efforts and donate to this hugely worthwhile cause.
We’ve set up a just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Loxley-Colour for donations to the team
