Lisa Visser Scoops 4 titles including UK Portrait Photographer of The Year. Johnson Wee claims 8 titles and awarded Overseas Photographer of the year whilst Jason Banbury is crowned UK & International Photographer of The Year for the second year in a row!
The MPA Awards Ceremony, held at Hinckley Island Hotel, 18th October 2015, Celebrates the Masters of Photography. The annual Master Photographers Association (MPA) Awards welcomed some of the greatest photography talents in a glittering awards ceremony. So high was the standard of entrants this year a record number of merit winners were selected for the wall of fame, a stunning display printed by MPA sponsors, The Print Foundry.
Merit winners were invited to the awards ceremony where finalists and winners were announced to collect their trophies on stage, from guest of honour, celebrity photographer John Stoddart. Creative photographer Jason Banbury and fine art, fashion photographer Johnson Wee were the big winners of the night claiming the top titles of the ceremony.
Jason Banbury LMPA was recognised for his combined creative vision and technical skill winning Licentiate photographer of the year, sponsored by One Vision & the SWPP and walked away with the coveted International and UK Photographer of The Year awards.
Portrait Photographer Lisa Visser FMPA, whose timeless imagery captured the attention of the judges again and again was crowned the winner in Under 5‘s, Portrait Art Fashion and Portrait Classical categories in addition to the UK Portrait Photographer of The Year sponsored by Fujifilm.
Johnson Wee FMPA scooped eight awards, winning Overseas Photographer of The Year, sponsored by WPPI, as well as picking up the Judges Choice award.
The awards also celebrated a new category for the MPA awards, dedicated to Newborn Photography and was one of the highest entered categories. Hazel Irvine LMPA claimed the much sought after title.
David Calvert AMPA was awarded Best Associate Panel of the Year for his outstanding qualification submission earlier in the year.
Some of the biggest names in the photographic industry attended, and Fujifilm, Epson, Graphistudio, Hassleblad, The Photography Show, Pentax and Loxley colour were amongst the list of sponsors presenting these prestigious awards.

It was exciting to see new faces coming through and rewarding to see such great talent upholding previous years titles. With entrants both UK and overseas, our winners really are the masters of their craft.
