About Me

I have been a professional photographer all my working life. I would describe myself as being a technical person as my main interests apart from photography are flying and motor sport. I have a Private Pilot’s Licence and a Gliding Instructor’s Rating. Although I am now retired, it gives me great satisfaction to put something back into this wonderful profession by helping others to become qualified with their Licentiateship. I thoroughly enjoy my role as a Mentor and it gives me a great feeling that the experience I have built up over the years can be used in this way.

I have always been interested in the history of photography and the changes that have taken place over the years. In my early professional career, I had to master the art of black & white developing and printing then adapt to colour once it became useable professionally. When digital appeared on the scene, it was a whole new exciting experience for me and one which I have embraced and enjoy. Apart from commissioned projects, I have always been passionate about people, landscape and street photography. I took my first photograph when I was eight and still love photography today.
